UNILAG Commences 2026/2027 Direct Entry Admission Registration

The University of Lagos (UNILAG), Akoka, has commenced online registration for its 2026/2027 Direct Entry (DE) admission exercise for candidates seeking admission into its undergraduate programmes.

According to an official notice released by the University, the registration exercise commenced on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, and will close on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.

Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements are advised to complete their applications before the deadline, as those who fail to participate in the online registration will not be considered for admission.

The registration covers all undergraduate programmes/courses for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

According to UNILAG, candidates who made the University of Lagos their first choice in the 2026/2027 Direct Entry JAMB application are eligible to register.

Candidates must also possess five credit passes at one sitting in relevant O’Level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.

In addition, candidates who will not be 16 years old by September 30, 2026 are not eligible to apply.

UNILAG also advised candidates to ensure that their personal information — including their name, date of birth, state of origin and Local Government Area — is consistent across their documents and examination results.

How to Apply for UNILAG Direct Entry

Eligible candidates are required to complete the registration through the University of Lagos application portal.

The application process includes the following steps:

1. Visit the UNILAG application portal.
2. Click on “Start New Application.”
3. Select “Undergraduate” as the application type.
4. Log in using your DE JAMB Registration Number as your username.
5. Use your surname in lowercase as the password.
6. Generate and print the payment advice.
7. Make payment either online or at any commercial bank.
8. Return to the UNILAG application portal after payment.
9. Click on “Continue Application” to complete the application form.
10. Upload all relevant academic results and required documents.
11. Preview the application carefully and confirm that the information supplied is correct.
12. Submit the completed application.
13. Print the Direct Entry Application Slip and keep it for future reference.
